Marjorie Cox, licensed as a real estate broker in 1987, has over twenty years of experience serving the requirements of owners of commercial real estate and users of corporate space.  Having experienced the market downturn in Houston of the late-1980’s, Ms. Cox managed and marketed real estate assets as owner representative for financial institutions during this period. 

During an extensive career with Trammell Crow Company, Ms. Cox served Fortune 100 owners in the acquisition of space and management of corporate portfolios.  Ms. Cox created procedures and managed relocations for an industrial user, performed a strategic plan and leased space for the owner of office buildings as well as managed leasing agents across multiple portfolios. 

Highlights of her career include:

  • Closed over $38 million in commercial real estate owned by Pacific Southwest Bank during a three-year period. 
  • Sold twenty retail locations at $6M for 108% of market value for Exxon during a six month assignment. 
  • Disposed of $17.5M in surplus property and generated $2.5M in sublease revenue for Greyhound Lines.
  • Created Sublease Disposition Program for Travelers Insurance and managed sublease of 12 sites of 135K sf for $1.2M in revenue or 82% recovery. 
  • Developed Asset Management Plan for seven building, 1.2M sf Bank One portfolio that included recommendations for space consolidation, lease activity, value maximization, deal parameters, reporting and policies and procedures.  The strategic plan resulted in the portfolio sale of thirteen buildings of 8M sf at $85M.
  • Via team of 54 agents and in-house professionals, directed sales of 66,900 acres valued at $96.3 million in twelve states over a two year period for Plum Creek Timber.
